Currently still charting on the MFM Top 40, Matt Carsten's single, "You do you" is still making waves. He says that the message behind the song is about respect and individuality. You Do You is not Matt’s first introduction to the music world. Last year he released a single, Somebody Else and during 2017 he released an album, 2DHeart, with the song, Paper Planes, being the breakout single. A collaboration with none other than Francois van Coke followed, resulting in the hit-single, Broken Society.

OCAL GLOBAL JOURNEY FOR CHANGE AIMS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT MISPERCEPTIONS OF ‘DIFFERENTLY ABLED” PEOPLE

In a few weeks a team of 12 ordinary, yet remarkable people will embark on an adventure that sounds nothing short of impossible. These participants will endure an incredible non-stop, 24-hour challenge that spans 2,200 km over a 10-day period, on their feet. Now in its fourth year, the OCAL Global Journey for Change aims to raise awareness about the misperception regarding people with disabilities and to raise funds, so desperately needed for so many individuals effected in South Africa. OCAL Journey founder, Nicolene Anley, will be on Afternoon Express this Friday to chat more about it so be sure to tune in!

Local RnB pop star, Amy Jones stunned at Lusito Land this past weekend. Sharing the stage with some of South Africa's favourite acts including Lady Zamar, Amy proved that she is on the rise in the South African music industry. Her single "Get a Little" is still charting (currently at #7) on the Jaca SA Top 20. We can't wait to see what the future holds for the talent that is Amy Jones!

Papa CJ is a world-renowned stand-up comedian who has won awards for both Asia’s and India’s Best Stand-up Comedian. He has performed over 2000 shows in 25 countries and has had numerous appearances on NBC, BBC, Comedy Central, Showtime, MTV, Paramount, The Comedy Channel, ITV and a host of other international networks. He is the only Indian comedian to have shot his own solo special with Comedy Central Asia. The Cape Town Comedy Club is excited to have him join them this week!
